WHAT IS SOCIAL YOGA?
Social Yoga is the original nomadic studio, offering an alternative to a typical yoga class experience. Classes are intimate in size (10 people max) and designed to get you moving, connecting, and digging deep. Held in partnership with unconventional spaces and businesses (think: bookclubs, in breweries, with acupuncturists- though not at the same time!), classes are grouped into "series"- running once a week for four weeks, so that those who sign up can better connect with themselves, and with others in the series.
I created Social Yoga after noticing what felt like a disconnect between the principles of yoga & the experience. One of the definitions of yoga is "union"- the union of our physical self with our "higher self" (the part of us that is above our day to day grind), as well as the understanding that we are all connected.

- To break down preconceived notions of what being a "yogi" looks like by literally bringing the practice to the people- popping up in places they already know, where they feel comfortable. >> kombucha not required
